pesto party

This year we decided to take part in a community garden. We plowed, we planted, we weeded, we waited. Then things grew. Mostly weeds and grass - more work. The tomatoes look sickly, the onions are stunted, the cabbage is dying. But the herbs... they are thriving! Mostly basil. In fact, more basil than I know what to do with. So, I made pesto. Lots of pesto. Three different basils, three different pestos. Yum!
